Opening Ceremonies begin at 9:30am; Main Event begins at 10am

It's MAN vs PLANE! The 14th Annual Valero Plane Pull is set for Saturday, October 2, 2010. The main event will feature adult teams of 20 that compete by pulling a 727 FedEx jet weighing in at approximately 155,000 pounds! Youth teams will compete to pull a 32,000 pound FedEx ATR feeder aircraft. Prizes will be awarded for the adult team that pulls its plane 12 feet (and the youth team that pulls its plane 20 feet) in the shortest amount of time.

Expect lots of family fun, music and entertainment along with tons of excitement for the kids – the public is welcome! Special children’s activities include face painting, moon bounces, a petting zoo and a FedEx pedal plane. PLUS Shady Tree Fun Farm will be featuring pony rides, train rides and carnival rides. Great festival food along with lunch sponsored by Valero Memphis Refinery will be on sale for all to enjoy. Also during the event, there is a chance for AirTran Airways tickets for two to be given away plus may more great door prizes!

The 2010 Plane Pull will be the 14th year for this event and there are a number of avenues for Sponsor Marketing opportunities as we promote the event (i.e. website, brochures, flyers) and day of event advertising.
